Before Sunset, the loveliest sequel of a one night stand

First things first, Before Sunset is a sequel to Before Sunrise. It is a film by Richard Linklater in 2004; starring Ethan Hawke as Jesse and Julie Delpy as Celine.

Before Sunset is far from the usual giddy movies. It cannot assure you that you will have an eye-candy with those hugging and touching. It is also far from the ideal since Jesse (the lead guy) is already married and has a kid while Celine is into her work for an environment protection organization, nonetheless, happy and fulfilled. It actually is an artistically rude awakening film that reality stinks. Thus, it is one of the most beautiful independent romantic story.

It is a sweet solemn film of two people rekindling their story in a slow-paced way in the streets of Paris. It is a script of their journey in figuring out whether or not they still love each other with all the reminiscing and sharing of experiences they had during the past nine years they didn't see each other. And if you are wondering, one reason of their parting ways was also due to a missed meet-up which is revealed as the story goes.

As they talk, you can see the dissatisfaction they have with their romantic relationships. They envisioned what could have happened to them. A seemingly possible occurrences in mind of happy endings, a thought they shared that will forever wrestle in their dreams. On one end, I am still cynical about the film that they could actually find their way home and they could end up together. That is if Linklater would make a part three for it, I don't think there would be, yea?

One thing I am sure while watching it is even though they both accomplished and even gave up some things in their lives, their feelings for each other remained to be constant. On one end, there is this reality that it will just be on that level, nothing more and nothing less --this is in contrary to my cynicism I know which I based solely to the plot.

To end, nice songs are also played in this film and I would like to share with you the lyrics of "A Waltz For a Night" sang by Julie Delpy which tells everything about their story and emotions.

Let me sing you a waltz, out of nowhere, out of my thoughts.
Let me sing you a waltz, about this one-night stand: you were, for me, that night.
Everything I always dreamt of in life.

But now you’re gone.
You are far-gone.
All the way to your island of rain.
And it was for you, just a one-night thing.

But you were much more to me, just so you know.
I don’t care what people say.
I know what you meant for me that day.
I just want another try.
I just want another night.
Even if it doesn’t seem quite right.

You meant, for me, much more than anyone I’ve meet before. One single night with you, dear Zoel, is worth a thousand with any body.
I have no bitterness, my sweet.

I’ll never forget this one-night thing.
Even tomorrow, in other arms.
My heart will stay yours until I die.

Let me sing you a waltz, out of nowhere, out of my blues.
Let me sing you a waltz, about this lovely one-night stand.

Siam Niramit in Thailand

It holds true that you get to learn the moment you travel no matter how boring or exciting your whereabouts are. You learn by the mere fact that you get to talk to different people and immerse yourself in their way of living and deal with different practices, personalities, and beliefs. But isn't it exciting to know one’s mores and folklore in just one sitting.

There is more to shopping and more to taking photos when traveling. One thing you shouldn’t miss when you go visit other country is to see world-renowned performances from their stage plays whenever there’s one. For one, you will get to know their culture and heritage. You’ll also gain knowledge and participate in discourse with your family after —learnings and simply reiterations on your personal outlook about the play.

Siam Niramit features a gigantic stage that houses more than 150 performers in native and festive costumes. It is one of Thailand's must-see show. No doubt about it!

I was amazed when a giant elephant walked beside us towards the stage. I was in awe when I saw water flowing like a stream with boats actually moving in it where a man dove into the water too which happened in a stage that was dry land few seconds before. How was that  freaking possible?! With one blink everything kept on coming out of nowhere!

I tell you, you shouldn't miss Siam Niramit in Thailand! Go for a different kind of experience whenever you wander. There is more to a place than those sculptures, big buildings and shopping!

Say goodbye to breakouts

If there is one product that I would recommend for skin suffering from acne and breakouts, it would be this one —The Shaclear- Skin Clear Anti Pimple Lotion. It is an ayurvedic product by Shahnaz Husain based in India. For basic information, Ayurveda can be defined as a system, which uses the inherent principles of nature, to help maintain health in a person by keeping the individual’s body, mind, and spirit in perfect equilibrium with nature (directly lifted from About.com). Thing is, the only shop I know, located in Malate, which carries her products closed years ago. I tried to e-mail the owner and I had the chance to do transactions with her, but everything remained as failed promises, so I never got a bottle from her from then on.

Then, my uncle went to India for a business trip. I got really excited, my hopes, desperation, and longing to take hold of the product were up. And so I asked him to purchase three bottles, but he was only able to bring home one bottle. Still, the product never failed to eradicate those protruding pimples.

Whenever there is a small breakout, I immediately put on the product with enough amount in a cotton ball. And when I wake up, my face is anew and ready for the world to see, heh. I was not worried about ill side-effects since it is an ayurvedic product. There were actually times that I put so much amount on my face especially when I’m trying to get rid of cystic ones —the ones with puss that you cannot not control to whack.

I want to have another bottle of this product, but I do not know where I could get one. Actually this is the reason why I would like to pursue medicine (dermatology in particular) to introduce safe products that could be used without having to expose the skin to harsh ingredients such as hydroxybenzoate and methyl paraben, that little do we know destroys our skin.

There are many alternatives we could use if only it would be available to consumers and if only we are educated with the use and availability of herbal and skin friendly products.

Who sells one? Anyone?
